“War on Women” Tide Turning? Senate Passes Violence Against Women Act

Today the Senate passed the Violence Against Women Act! Finally the Senate Republicans were able to agree with the Democrats and approve reauthorization of the successful law. The Violence Against Women Act was created to respond to domestic and sexual violence, and receives $650 million for it’s programs.

Does this mean the “War on Women” tide is slowly turning? This may be one of the first signs, as the general election is approaching and the Republican’s attempt gaining favor with women. I suppose we will see.
